We will continue our study of Harper Lee's classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird this week. The students are reading the novel both in class and at home, have daily writing assignments, and study the vocabulary used in the book. Students should read the class page and homework page on a daily basis to stay up to date on all assignments. There will be a vocabulary and reading comprehension test on Tuesday, February 27 on chapters 1-5.
Students should be reading 15-20 minutes each night and completing their active reading charts on their reading logs. Reading logs are checked each Wednesday and are submitted at the end of each month. Make sure you are diligent and thorough in completing your logs. The February reading log is due on Wednesday, March 1. Please continue to read your Beautiful Mercy book as part of your nightly reading assignment and write your reflections directly in the book. You must finish reading this book by Wednesday, March 1, Ash Wednesday.
